Immersive Stories at ADIFF 2018
The incredible Immersive Stories: Exhibition took place in The Round Room on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of February 2018 as part of the Audi Dublin International Film Festival.
The Exhibition provided a hands-on opportunity for attendees to participate in the best multi-platform and immersive entertainment. Attendees were provided with the opportunity to not only experience storytelling on emerging new immersive platforms, but were also shown through demonstration how consuming entertainment through these mediums can fit into their daily lives.
The weekend conference saw many exceptional speakers take the stage to tell stories across multiple platforms with backgrounds that spanned three distinct areas: fictional story-worlds, news and documentary and music and sound. The speakers, including Diana Williams, Content Strategist, Lucasfilm & Creative Development Executive, ILMxLAB; and Curtis Hickman, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at the acclaimed immersive entertainment company, The VOID, provided an insight into their work and how they leverage these platforms to their full potential.
“I think this is a fascinating time to be authoring creative content and it has been an honour for me to curate this event. I’d like to thank Gráinne Humphreys, Sarah Sharkey and Sarah Ahern of ADIFF; Sorcha Loughnane of Screen Training Ireland; and Richard Molloy of Audi Ireland for fully supporting this new and progressive stream at ADIFF 2018.”- Eoghan Cunneen, Event Curator.
